1)What is SAP consultant Education?

 SAP consultant education includes:
• Early product training -- These workshops and online knowledge products are made available before new solutions or releases are introduced to the general market.
• SAP academies --These centers specialize in intensive knowledge transfer that builds skills and qualifications for a wide variety of consultants.
 • Consultant certification -- Certification helps SAP customers identify and select qualified consultants. Certification is often the end result of participating in an SAP academy, but can also be achieved through alternative learning paths.

2) I am interested to be a SAP Consultant. What relevant course should I take?

3) What are the prerequisites to pursue an SAP module?

For a functional module, a minimum of 1-2 years of industrial experience in the relevant business function is generally required, whereas, for the technical module of SAP you need to be strong in programming and programming concepts and is generally recommended to people withSAP Training develops skills and experience in the practical management and application of technology. It is for everyone - from everyday users to senior management.

4) Several companies/training institutions offer SAP training with guaranteed placements, are these trainings genuine and are the certificates valid?

Apart from WE Excel Softwares Pvt. Ltd., which is the only authorized Training Partner of SAP in Chandigarh offering functional / Technical training for SAP ERP 6.0 (for the Enterprise Solutions); no other institutions are authorized to conduct SAP Training. We would strongly advise people not to go to such institutes. Training provided by them is not recognized by SAP and its partners/customers. Of course SAP Asia Pte Ltd, conduct training on New Dimensional and some of the STANDARD (End User and Project Team Training) courses.

5) What is the mode of payment of the fees?

   The payment can be made by any one of the following modes:

6) What is the certification charge?

    The Certification charges differ from course to course. Please contact our representative @ 0172 – 4373333 to know about the certification charges.

7) Can I take up only the certification examination?

There are two ways by which a person can get certified.
1. By undergoing the training at any of the Authorized Education Partners of SAP.
2. Should have at least 2 Implementation, were the Company authenticates and sponsors the candidate. The Company, which is sponsoring the candidate, needs to be a SAP Partner. Relevant letters from the Project Manager / Practise Head/ Coach indicating your specific role and the duration along with the contact details of the authorized signatory for verification. Incomplete or insufficient information will result in disqualification of the application without any explanation.

8) Can I take up the certification examination alone, if I have undertaken SAP Training in other institutions (other than the SAP Partners)?

SAP does not recognize trainings undertaken at any institute other

9) How do I enroll?
Our Office Representative will be able to assist you with the enrollment process and you can obtain a copy of the SAP enrollment form from them.
1. Complete Enrolment Form with all necessary details
2. Initial Payment D.D in favour of SAP India Pvt. Ltd. or by bank transfer (information on bank transfer available on request) to log your enrolment details into the SAP database
3. Upon completion of step 1, for those who will need bank loans (applicable for local students) we will issue you a requisition letter to be given to the bank supporting your loan application.

10) Does SAP offer part-time courses?

On-line trainings are available for candidates with rich experience with the possibility of taking up flexible hours..

12) Why do I need the SAP R/3 application consultant certification?

SAP offers consultants the opportunity to obtain recognition of their SAP System knowledge by taking a Certification Test. The certificate provides customers with assurance that the consultant has passed the SAP Project know-how, which is required to successfully implement SAP for customers. Certified SAP consultants are integrated in a tightly knit information network with SAP, yielding greater quality and more up-to-date knowledge to benefit customers

14) What is the format of the examination?

15) What is the format of the examination?

     The certification exam for core modules consists of 80 questions, which lasts for 3 hours. The questions are objective in nature. These examinations are version specific and reflect the actual tasks of an SAP consultant. The exams are standardized worldwide and carried out under the supervision of SAP.

16) What level of knowledge is tested??
 
The exam tests the knowledge required by a junior consultant to work as a productive member of project team under the supervision of an experienced SAP consultant. The certificate shows 15) What is the objective of the examination?

 The examination tests the candidate’s ability to:

• Explain and implement various core business processes and functions in R/3 in one of the following application areas: Accounting, Controlling, Materials Management, Production & Production Scheduling, Sales Order Processing, and Human Resources.
• Describe organizational units in the mySAP system, their characteristics and their relationships
• Define master data and make appropriate global settings (customizing)
• Tailor SAP to customer’s needs
• Work with the SAP navigator, online documentation, process and data models and implementation methodologies
• Acquire knowledge through available documentation
• Describe the technological requirements of the R/3 system. The certificate can be updated with further training and delta tests when new releases become available

17) How will I know if I have passed?

The result will be displayed in your screen after completion of the test. The candidates need to score 70% to clear the certification. You will be able to register and re-sit the exam one month after your first attempt. You will receive the certificate from SAP AG in Germany within 4 to 6 weeks by post. An Attendance Certificate/ Course Completion Certificate will be provided on the last day of the training.

18) Can I retake the exam?

A maximum of three exam attempts is permitted – with each attempt exam fees will be incurred as applicable. If a student has failed all three-examination attempts then the only means available to gain certification will be to completely retake a full academy at 50% the fees (subject to SAP approval).

19)How good is the infrastructure, in comparison to other training centers?

21)Who are SAP Consultants?

Our training is open to many kinds of consultants, from those employed by customers (usually in Customer Competence Centre) to self-employed individuals who offer their services on the open market as qualified, certified SAP consultants. SAP consultant education includes :

• SAP Partner Academies – These are typically 5 weeks intensive trainings imparted at SAP Authorized Training Centres, followed by certification examination. These Training Centres specialize in intensive knowledge transfer to develop necessary skills for a wide variety of consultants.
• Consultant certification - Certification is often the end result of participating in an SAP Solution Academy training, followed by clearance of certification examination. Certification helps SAP customers to identify and select qualified consultants. Certification may also be obtained through alternative learning paths.

22)What is SAP Training?

There are 2 types of SAP Trainings:
• ILT : Instructor-led Training
• OLT : Online (e-learning) Training The SAP Solution Academy is the most comprehensive and cost effective training offered for SAP products. We deliver a hands-on classroom environment followed by an intensive case study to discuss implementation requirements of SAP Systems. The SAP Solution Academy course ends with a certification examination where your acquired skills of SAP are tested and evaluated by SAP. Certification is a kind of benchmark to enter the SAP industry.

23)  How does Online (e-learning) Training work?

24)What is a SAP Solution Academy (training)?

The SAP Solution Academy offers partners, customers, and independent consultants comprehensive training in SAP solutions and best business practices that can lead to certification as an SAP consultant. SAP provides internationally recognized training that will help you build your client base and boost competitiveness.

25)What are the pre-requisites for Certification?

 All candidates registering for SAP Certification Test must ensure that they have at least 2 years SAP implementation experience or have attended at least 15 days of relevant training in SAP. Proof of the above must be presented upon registration. You can submit the following : • Resume stating your job experience • Recommendation letter from your company, endorsed by your project manager. The SAP TC will verify the information and confirm your certification registration if you have the necessary prerequisites and work experience.

28)What are the pre-requisites for attending SAP Trainings?

SAP Solution Academy trainings are intensive in nature. It is essential to have good domain knowledge to undertake SAP Trainings. Candidate must possess appropriate academic qualification, backed by domain knowledge. Minimum required qualification is graduation with two years of domain experience. Those who don’t have a degree must have eight to ten years of domain experience to undertake the training. Longer duration of domain experience covering various aspects of the domain is very useful for functional trainings in particular. The preferred qualification for undertaking training in various modules is given below: FICO Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, CA, CFA, ICWA HR Master’s in HR PP Masters in Production MM Master’s in Materials SD Master’s in Marketing ABAP All Computer Graduates and Post Graduates

29)How does ECC 6.0 training differ from ECC 5.0?

SAP India has introduced SAP training in version ECC 6.0 for all core modules from 24th Dec 2007. Earlier version was ECC 5.0. The following are the changes brought in for trainings in ECC 6.0
i. Training and training material pertains to version ECC 6.0.
ii. A component of ‘e-Learning’ has been introduced for SD, MM, HR, FI & PP modules.
a. ‘e-Learning’ enables participant to complete a portion of training at their own pace.
b. The participant has an option to do the ‘e-Learning’ portion of the training at the Training Centre or at their own place/office. c. Major portion of the ‘e-Learning’ has to be completed by the participant before the instructor-led class-room training starts as per the schedule. Hence, candidates must complete the required ‘e-Learning’ trainings in the previous week itself. All that is needed is a good connectivity to internet, a good PC with sound card and speakers or head phones to do ‘e-Learning’ from own place/office.
d. When you choose to do e-Learning at your own place/office, the total number of days away from own place/office is just 20 days as against 25 days earlier.
e. It is highly recommended to register nominations at least three weeks in advance along with fees to block the seat. Candidate will need to exercise their choice of place (own place/office or Training Centre) to do the ‘e-Learning’ at the time of registration.
f. Please Note: There is NO e-Learning component for trainings in PS, PM, QM & ABAP modules as of now & hence the training duration for the instructor-led training at the training centre remains the same for these trainings.

30) What is the technical requirement to access global e-Learning material for ECC 6.0?

31)Following is the technical requirements to access global e-learnings : Hardware requirements include :
• Processor: Minimum 233 MHz processor, 400 MHz recommended
• RAM: 128 MB to 256 MB
• Sound: 16-bit sound card, with speakers or a headset
• Screen resolution: 1024 by 768 (minimum) Software requirements include:
• Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP
• Internet Explorer (IE) version 5 and up, with JavaScript support in the browser configuration
• Required plug-ins: Flash 7 and (for web assessments) JRE 1.31_03, or plug-ins will be preinstalled on your computer Connectivity requirements:
• Minimum connection speed: 128 kbps DSL

31)Is there any change in fee structure for ECC 6.0 trainings?

No. There is no change in the fee structure for ECC 6.0. On the other hand, candidates have greater flexibility in doing some portion of learning at their own end (less time away from work) at their own pace with the help of powerful user-friendly interface, with slide show, voice-over training material delivered by SAP over internet to registered candidates.

32)What is the difference between e-Learning of ECC 6.0 and OLT (Online Trainings)?

Trainings in ECC 6.0 may be delivered through Instructor-led (ILT) classroom based trainings or by way of Online Trainings (OLT). Only a small portion of the total training in ECC 6.0 is delivered as e-Learning for those candidates to opt for ILT trainings. Balance training is necessarily covered in the classroom by an experienced and certified faculty when the candidate chooses ILT. In case of OLT, the entire training is delivered as e-Learning at the Training Centre.
